Maternity Nurses &

Night Nurses

Maternity nurses are quite a new concept to Northern Ireland but in many countries they are a godsend to new mothers.

Maternity nurses are the reason many celebrities look and feel so well immediately after the birth of their baby. We are delighted to be able to offer this service to mums in Northern Ireland at a fraction of the normal cost.

Our maternity nurses are highly trained, experienced and qualified NHS staff. Your baby could not be in better or safer hands. The wealth of knowledge they possess can help guide you smoothly through new parenthood steering you clear of problems and issues before they arise.

As well as advising on and helping new parents with feeding the baby a maternity nurse will be responsible for all the physical needs of the baby.

Maternity Nurse duties include:

  • Bathing
  • Changing
  • Settling
  • Baby’s laundry
  • Nursery cleanliness and equipment care
  • Cleaning & sterilising of bottle feeding or breast feeding equipment
  • Preparation of feeds
  • Advice & implementing of routines
  • Night feeding
  • Documenting and communication with parents

Maternity Nurses can be retained on an ad hoc or temporary booking basis. Please do not hesitate to contact us for more information should you require it.

Like our maternity nurses the night nanny team are all NHS trained, qualified and experienced newborn care experts. Most are currently employed as nurses, hospital nursery nurses and midwifery support nurses. The rest of the team are retired nurses and midwives.

Lack of sleep has a huge impact on everyone. A night nanny can make a huge difference to family when parents are physically and mentally exhausted.

The night nanny will come to your home at a flexible time of your choosing in the evening and give care to your baby through the night changing feeding and settling your little one while you have a well earned nights sleep. In the morning the night nanny will have your baby bathed changed and fed and all equipment used will be cleaned and sterilised leaving you refreshed and prepared for the day ahead.

Night Nannies duties include

  • Night feeds
  • Settling
  • Morning washing and dressing of baby
  • Advice on routines
  • Communication with parents
  • Cleaning and sterilising of equipment
