CARING FOR CHILDREN WITH COMPLEX NEEDS
If your child has been diagnosed with a medical condition, disability or sensory impairment that needs a lot of additional support for them to live day to day, they might be described as having complex needs. Also if your child has not yet had a specific diagnosis but requires additional support and care.
Getting a break from your caring responsibilities is vital so you can look after your own health and wellbeing. For example, it may be that you need regular replacement overnight care so you can catch up on your sleep. Building a trusted relationship with someone who works closely with your child can be a valuable source of continued support.
Your Lullaby childcare provider will be specific and tailor made to each child and family, will recognise the limitations of each child but will also strive to help them reach their full potential.
We can provide a range of individualised services from simply a few hours of respite to overnight stays. Many of our specialist team are highly trained, experienced care givers who can also provide support guidance and education to family members when necessary.
